Welcome to Cape Breton Region

Cape Breton Community Respite is managed by The Society for Treatment of Autism (NS) and connects families with support workers who can be mentors to individuals of all ages with disabilities not just children.

As part of this program, families will be more connected and have access to a database with various services such as community events, educational resources, and worker profiles just to name a few. This will provide a great opportunity for families and family members to live actively and participate in community activities.

Cape Breton Community Respite also supervises an apartment for planned or emergency respite. Booking the Respite Apartment is done on a first-come, first, serve basis for children 18 and under.
