Welcome to Northern Region

Northern Region Respite Services (NRRS) is managed by Highland Community Residential Services (HCRS). HCRS exists to foster personal growth, independent living, and a high quality of life for persons with a developmental disability and/or who are dealing with a mental health challenge

Our Respite Service provides support for families in the Northern Region to plan respite care for loved ones still living at home. NRRS recruits and screens respite providers who are then referred to families based on the needs of the individual.

NRRS also manages a respite apartment that can be booked by families or providers for respite. (This apartment is not staffed; caregivers are responsible to secure a provider for overnight respite)
